What is the garbage schedule
Mondays - Rumpke will collect household garbage and yard waste
Thursdays - Rumpke will collect household garbage and recycling. Recycling containers must be wheeled to the curb.

The City of Riverwood is in Louisville Metro Police Department's (LMPD) 5th division. Additionally, the City of Riverwood retains a contract with a private police division which also provide police patrol and services to residents in addition to LMPD's officers.

How is snow removal handled?
The City of Riverwood contracts out snow removal and salting of roads. We have priority status with our vendor, so snow plowing and salting often takes place in Riverwood before other surrounding neighborhoods.
